Dr. Brian E. Coleman received his medical degree from Indiana School of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic residency at Howard University Hospital. He then moved to Houston, Texas, completing a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Baylor University College of Medicine in 1992. He specializes in all foot and ankle problems including complex reconstructive procedures, treating patients of all ages. Dr. Coleman is one of seven foot and ankle trained Orthopedists statewide and the only Orthopedic surgeon in Northwest Indiana credentialed to perform total ankle replacement, and shockwave treatment for heel pain. In January 2006, he formed the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Institute, offering comprehensive care for all aspects of the foot and ankle. Dr. Coleman has a passion for fantasy sports, mathematics and travel. In addition to providing medical coverage for local high school games, he plays in two local basketball leagues year round. He is a member of 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc., a community based-mentoring program for at-risk youths in the Chicagoland area.
